For a .308 I like at least a 4 power scope like the Trijicon TA31 series.
You could also check out the Leupold Mark AR, it's a 1.5-4x variable magnification.
Either of those are nice close-mid range scopes. I'm sure there's tons more out there but those 2 seem to be really popular.

SWFA 1-6 would be tits for the big SCAR in a BOBRO or ADM mount. Donut of death reticle if you are concerned close up. Take note of having a QD system if you want it that does not interfere with the charging handle.

I'd pick a EO Tech, with a Zoom Enhancer attachment, or some high quality red dot, by say trijicon, or one of those 900$ scopes with no zoom, and super clarity like the one that other guy just posted.

CQC? Close quarters Combat? Why would you want any optics at all?
I think iron sights would be preferable and very usable out to 300 yards, in fact beyond.
