Default New problem with my Nagant M91....advice needed.

Two weeks ago I broke my extractor/interrupter and you guys hooked me up with great advice and info. I had it back up by the next weekend and took it out again today. After shooting I took it home for the usual cleaning and found that I cant get the bolt all the way out without taking off the trigger guard/magazine assembly. Once thats off the trigger pulls back far enough to release it but when its on it wont let it come all the way out. It was never as easy as removing the bolt on my M44 but it always used to come off. Not anymore. So I am hoping you can give me advice or recomendations for this one too. Thanks, Brian

Is the trigger hitting the triggerguard? is the sear bottoming out on the inside of the stock? sorry thats all I can think of.

Did any shims fall out from between the receiver and stock when you took it apart? Is the trigger hitting the stock? Is the sear laying flat? Try loosening the sear screw and retightening it.

Picture, takes some and post. They may show something.

Ok, so lets go with the basics.

Take the stock off the rifle and reassemble. You would be left with just the barrell and the trigger guard screwed back together. Leave the magazine follower out and try to work the bolt. Does it work smoothly? Is the bolt put together incorrectly? This should rule the stock out.. shims etc.

My money would be the bolt is catching the interrupter. But I am no gunsmith, and without any reference pics all speculation.

I just went downstairs and tested my 91/30 and my m44. if i point them barrel up, the bolt just falls out of both. There is not anything in the way and they both fall out easily. As stated above, take it apart again and do some testing, the bolt should not hang on anything. Pics, of course, would be a great help. If all else fails, and you want to take a drive, I would be glad to look it over for you to see what we can figure out.
