Here, let me help, heres' the mount you want:

It's expensive, but it's worth it.
To answer your question about the front sight, it really doesn't matter. You won't see the front sight through a magnified optic. The reason you need a tall mount on an AR is to give yourself a proper cheek weld on the stock. Anyway, get the LaRue mount and be happy.

Re: do i need scope risers for the AR
Dave was right, you won't see the front sight-post through your scope. I have an XM15-E2S with 14.5" bar and 1/5" flash compensator, and the objective lens of the scope I have on the thing is almost resting on the front handrail...and no sight-post in sight when looking through the scope! And as for the cheek weld thing, it doesn't bother me in the least without the scope risers.

Like already posted--on a magnified optic, you will not see the front site post / tower on about 3x and higher.
While Larue does have a cult like following and produces a good product, i will not buy his stuff. He acts like an imature teenager over on ar15.com. American Defense makes a pretty good mount too and is about $25 less than Larue. Here is a link to bravo co web site with AD mounts.

See what I mean -- cult like following. One negative comment and it is squashed. All I was doing was suggesting other cheaper alternatives and stating why I will not buy his products.
BTW Dave, Obama promised me a lot of free stuff too -- does that mean I should think he's a great guy too ?
