Yes.

So long as the overall length doesn't go below 26" with a pistol grip alone.

yes, but i'd advise a pistol-grip-only set up, in favor of a pistol grip stock. shotguns still need to be aimed to work. welcome to the forum!

thanks for the quick responses and the welcome....the pistol grip is on the shot gun i just received in a trade. i was told that is may be illegal is why i asked...so the 26" is to be measured from tip of barrel to where?

The barrel has to be at least 18 inches also. The best way to measure that is to mark a dowel at eighteen, close the action and drop the dowel in the muzzle. If your mark shows, take the barrel off and throw it away, that is what got Vicki Weaver and her son killed.

If you get one, may I recommend a collapsable stock like an AR-15. I recently got to try one. It's much more comfortable/ergonomic (even with my long arms) to shorten the stock as needed.

Measure from the End of the Barrel to the End of the Grip, then measure from the End of the Barrel to the Breach Face.

If the overall length is Over 26" and the Barrel Length is over 18", You are Legal.
