PAFOA now blocked by Websense
Sometime between Tuesday and yesterday websense started blocking PAFOA. I noticed it at 2 different work sites. Just thought you might want to know.

Re: PAFOA now blocked by Websense
Our "sonicwall" funblocker at work used to block it, but I got them to unblock it. kept sending IT requests to unblock this site or that site - mostly work related things that had "gun" in the title (like nail guns, staple guns, rivet guns), or sites with MILSPEC information that were blocked because it was military. Eventually they dropped all the gun and military sites from the list of disallowed stuff.

Re: PAFOA now blocked by Websense
We had to put in a "Sonic Wall" unit a while ago. Apparently it was needed to do the VOIP to our other plant. It blocked a lot of my usual lunch time sites.
Then the owner told the IT guy that he couldn't check the scores on Sports Illustrated .com because it came up "Mature content" due to the bikinis. So now nothing is blocked.Adams County Sport Handgunners Association - President

Re: PAFOA now blocked by Websense
I am in charge of blocking/unblocking with a sonicwall appliance at a school district... I can guarentee I will never block this forum or any other gun forums for that matter
We are very laid back with the whole blocking thing though. Only when we find anything unappropriate (games, porn, non district email). I am very glad we do it all on our own though. I have read through some of the blacklist materials from both sonicwall and websense and cant imagine how you can hardly even use the internet anymore. Please visit my Website for Exotic ammunition and 37mm goodies... http://gunshowgoods.com

Re: PAFOA now blocked by Websense
Sports Illustrated came up as mature content at first also. That restriction got removed.
My website (www.bloomautomatic.com) was blocked by sonicwall under "racism/hate" or something like that. I don't see how that applies.

Re: PAFOA now blocked by Websense
We used to bypass those systems by either adding an S to http, making it https or by simplying downloading an anonymity program.
I've also heard there are many other ways around it, but those 2 usually got us past it.Peace, Prosperity, and Liberty

Re: PAFOA now blocked by Websense
I used to use a ssh tunnel to my home box to get around it at school.
Those were the days.
