UPDATE:Was there an ND/AD at Cabelas on Friday???

Stopped at Cabelas-Hamburg last nite to see if anything was priced right - of course not.

While at the gun counter - heard the customer next to me and the sales guy talk about appraising a pistol he brought in. Sales guy says:
"OK - we'll look at it in the managers office - we don't want another incident today"
I ask what happened - he got tongue-tied and said "oh its ok---no one got hit!!"

Nothing in the news today----I'll see if anything comes up later in the week.


SUNDAY POTTSVILLE REPUBLICAN:

HAMBURG - A Reading man was arrested after Tilden Township police said he had a stolen handgun in his possession inside Cabela's about 6 p.m. Friday.

According to township police, Bradley S. Steffy, 28, was transported to Berks County Central Processing Center to be arraigned on felony charges of receiving stolen property and firearms not to be carried without a license.

State police at Hamburg assisted in the investigation.

The people who escort you to the gun counter have no friggin' idea what they're doing. Zero. And the space that they've designated to show clear and assume responsibility for moving with anything coming in is just around the corner from the front door, a recipe for disaster given some of the specimens working there.
