Philledelphia gun/pistol scene questions

I may be applying for a job in philly. I now live near allentown. I have a few riffles, pistols and shotguns. Im just wonder what the whacky rules with pistols in Philledelphia are currently in effect. Are the neighboring areas gun friendly? Is philly the only area with different rules? Ive gone to Kings Shooter supply to buy a gun before but wasnt aure what in city philly restrictions were.

Let me know if you live in or near philly and what you think as far as daily life and also gun related topics i may not have thought of. Thanks guys and gals.

the only difference not covered by preemption is the requirement of a license to carry firearms for both open & concealed carry in a city of the first class.

Philadelphia is the only City of the First Class.

Kings isn't in Philly, but that's pretty brave all the same considering how badly overpriced they are.

Yes, absolutely. However if your license expires you'll need to renew in Philly, which will be a headache.

To clarify, you need to renew in your county of residence. If you don't *live* in Philly you don't need to *renew* in Philly.

Just because you *work* in Philly (I have) doesn't mean you have to *live* in Philly (not with a gun to my head).
