Weird night at the gun shop/range ...
The wife and I took a drive across the better half of the Delaware Valley this evening to do a bit of target shooting (well, I did, she knitted) and catch some excellent traditional Chinese seafood in Northeast Philly.
When I came out, I witnessed the strangest thing imaginable at the counter. Here was a man, apparently with all his faculties, swapping back a two-week-old SIG P229 in .40 S&W for, of all things, a new Glock 17. And, to make matters even stranger, he had passed a considerable pile of cabbage across the counter for that very privilege.
And then, here's where it got even wierder: a shop employee actually not even spoke up in defense of Obama's Presidency, because, in his inflated estimation, Obama had stood up to the North Koreans, but praised him because the National Park carry squeezed through, which for him was absolute proof of his hands-off on 2A.
[lil_jon] What?! [/lil_jon]
Apparently, he's never heard of Sotomayor's participation in 2A issues.
Read it and weep: http://www.scotusblog.com/wp/judge-s...n-civil-cases/
Her panel came to the conclusion that 2A has no bearing on state and local government, that it only covers such limitations as the federal government would impose.
In one word, H O R S E S H I T !!

I read it as one new Sig + money. But yeah, the point remains...(coupled with his insightful grasp of Obama's geopolitical and Constitutional savvy)...more money than brains indeed, and ready to be fleeced by gunstore personnel and charismatic, narcissistic, leftist, Machiavellian leaders alike.

Definitely weird gun shop, weird conversations. On the other hand maybe the Sig 40 was too much for the man to handle. Somebody probably told him he needed a 9.
