Fantastic books about American Companies & the Nazi Holocaust
I have read this one several times and it is fascinating.
IBM and the Holocaust: The Strategic Alliance Between Nazi Germany and America's Most Powerful Corporation
And now the same author, Edwin Black has a new book (Nazi Nexus: America's Corporate Connections to Hitler's Holocaust) with even more info:
Nazi Nexus is the long-awaited wrap-up in a single explosive volume that details the pivotal corporate American connection to the Holocaust.
The biggest names and crimes are all there.
IBM and its facilitation of the identification and accelerated destruction of the Jews; General Motors and its rapid motorization of the German military enabling the conquest of Europe and the capture of Jews everywhere; Ford Motor Company for its political inspiration; the Rockefeller Foundation for its financing of deadly eugenic science and the program that sent Mengele into Auschwitz; the Carnegie Institution for its proliferation of the concept of race science, racial laws, and the very mathematical formula used to brand the Jews for progressive destruction; and others.

Re: Fantastic books about American Companies & the Nazi Holocaust
Yeah, I haven't picked up the newer book yet, but I will. The first one, all about IBM, shows how they used early computing technology (punch cards) to help the Nazi's streamline the locating and killing of "undesirables". Including census figures, getting the transport trains running more efficiently, etc.
And the author used many people to help in his painstaking research...even locating and translating documents from other countries. His proof is pretty much undeniable, but IBM, of course, downplays their activity during the Nazi era
The new book should be just as good, I would think.
