The honest thing to do would be to notify them of their mistake.

all you get is ridicule, laughter,

x2. If you opened your box and realized it was a sealed case of 500 you would be on the phone inside of 5 minutes. If they tell you to keep it, then congrats, if not then you're getting what you paid for.

Yep calling them right now. I would even offer a free shipping. After all I just spent $1k over 2 weeks at cabelas so extra 10 bucks won't hurt.

they might not take the ammo back, there is a no return policy on ammo. you could technically use this to your advantage

I agree no return policy. They couldn't resale it, might be tampered with. Enjoy.

This is what I would do. But I wouldn't be willing to spend more than 5 minutes correcting it. Send me prepaid mailing label, I have a box. No good? Bite me.

Not only is it the honest and moral thing to do, it is illegal to not make reasonable attempts to contact them.

18 Pa CS § 3924. Theft of property lost, mislaid, or delivered by mistake.

A person who comes into control of property of another that he knows to have been lost, mislaid, or delivered under a mistake as to the nature or amount of the property or the identity of the recipient is guilty of theft if, with intent to deprive the owner thereof, he fails to take reasonable measures to restore the property to a person entitled to have it.
