    Default AR Lowers

    I am curious whether or not I would need to transfer a built lower for an AR if I bought it say through a member of this site. Considering that as far as I know the lower is considered the firearm and it can either be built as a rifle or a pistol. Would the purchase have to go through a dealer like a private sale pistol or would it be like a long gun and just exchange money/product and go.

    Thanks for any help and I do apologize if this is a little confusing.

    Virgin AR receivers are not a "firearm" that requires additional paperwork that handgun needs.
