Default KAHR CW 45 for ankle carry-need input

    Hi, all.

I'm new to the forum. Hopefully I can get some quality answers here. I'm interested in a good 45 ACP for ankle carry. So far I like what I see in the KAHR 45, but have had NO luck finding one for sale in NJ. Does anyone have any info to share on that pistol, or have comparable suggestions for a suitable ankle carry pistol in .45 ACP?? Thanks!

The CW45 is a great pistol. With that said, I think it is WAY to big to pack on your ankle. The grip length is about the same as a fullsize 1911. The slide is only roughly an inch shorter. I'd look for something MUCH smaller to ankle carry.

Thats what I was thinking. you must have pretty big legs to ankle carry A CW45.

Then again, I know people that pocket carry a Glock 26...something I could never pull off.

Kahr makes a smaller PM45 that would be better for ankle carry.

+1...you'd need 10 sizes too big Hip Hop pants and a counterweight on the other ankle so you don't walk like Igor....

I have a cw9 and love it!!! its my primary carry. I think the CW is deff too big for ankle carry though, may want to look at the MK OR PM series or a Ruger LCP or sometihng of the like....maybe .38 snubbie

    Here's a visual or two
    5" 1911, CW45, P3AT

    CW45 on top of 1911

...And to correct my earlier post, the CW45 slide is roughly 1.5"

My question is: How did you get a LTCF in PRNJ?
When you are called a racist, it just means you won an argument with an Obama supporter.

Well, I have a VA CCW, and A FL on the way, so, it's for when I travel outside of the communist stronghold in which I reside. I often wonder what the NJ gov't would do, if the multi-state reciprocity bill gets passed. OOOOOH, that'd burn em' up something fierce!
