46 Dollars a box!!!
French Creek Outfitters in Phoenixville has .45 ACP target ammo for $46.99 for a box of 50!!!!
I was shell shocked when I saw that price. I was lucky enough to get their last two boxes at $28 a box.

The sad part is that there are fools that just have to shoot and will pay that price.

Re: 46 Dollars a box!!!
Through the entire price gouging phase since the elections, I have to say that Cabelas has won me over. You can still order .45ACP online for $22.99 a box. $40.99 for 100rd Winchester white box. Yes, a lot of their stuff is backordered but with patience, you will get what you order. I have since run into ammo a hair cheaper in a few places but Cabelas has earned the business for not gouging.

Re: 46 Dollars a box!!!
$22.99 isn't bad??? Ammo when I started shooting just 2 years ago was $15/50 of .45ACP at Targetmaster and $25/100 for WWB .45ACP. I'd say that given the drop in price for oil and the drop in price of raw metals that those prices aren't that great at all...

Re: 46 Dollars a box!!!
If I shot 45, I would have to reload my own. I know componets are also scarce. 40 something a box? That is just nuts!!
I would never go to French Creek Outfitters again if I shopped there and let them know it.I love the smell of gunpowder in the morning.[

Re: 46 Dollars a box!!!
These shops that raise the prices like this will never get my buisness again. Ive written off 2 shops that i frequented (sp) in the last year due to the price gouging they are doing. Ive seen them almost double their prices just to try to make a extra buck off their regulars. Their regulars are now gone. I will stick to my 2 local shops that always have what I need ( except 380 ammo ) and always take care of their regulars and welcome new people all the time.
