Default Holster recommendation for Taurus Judge

Does any one have a recommendation for a holster to CC a Taurus Judge? I have tried 2 already and neither turned out acceptable for CC but would have been fine OC.

    Judge w/3" barrel and 21/2 " cyl.

Simply Rugged makes holsters for all models of the Taurus Judge. Ther're not cheap but they're well made....the holsters that is. (sorry...I'm no Taurus fan) I have a Simply Rugged holster for my Redhawk & really like it.

    While you're at it....get a good belt.

That Judge is about as much of a CC gun as my Redhawk.

I do agree that it is less than practical to conceal. Most of Taurus’s marketing is as a carry piece.

I love the mellon head commercial!

The weight on the Judge runs from 23 to 36 ozs with an average of around 29ozs. That's just a little heavier than a Glock 21 or a 3" Ruger sp101. The Judge should conceal better than the G21 because of its shape & would be be,I'm guessing,a tad lighter if both were fully loaded.

With a good stiff & thick belt & quality holster carrying this gun is doable. As for SD with this gun...I would say stick with .45 colt & forget .410,which would be OK for snakes. There are some good SD loads out there in .45 colt. Check out Corbon/DPX,Doubletap & Buffalobore. I'm not sure if Speer makes a Golddot load in this caliber. I would avoid any +p ammo in a Judge.

I like the nylon instructor style belts. A 511 1 3/4" belt will cost you around 29.00$ A GOOD leather belt will be around 55.00 to 100.00$. A GOOD holster will go for between 50.00 & 100.00$ As I posted before...check out Simply Rugged. It's a very good product. I've carried a 46oz, 4" Redhawk around in one. Rob also has speed strips for .45colt/.44mag.
