Re: Ruger Charger?
Yep. Was the first on the block to have one. Have a Bushnell first-design Holosight on it. Serious fun!

Re: Ruger Charger?
Have one and love it. I don't know which sights I like best because I keep switching. Lots of targets, cans, 3 rabbits, 5 groundhogs, and a crow have given me a lot of fun. It's dead on at 50 yards and great out to 100 yards. Get one.

Re: Ruger Charger?
i found the pistol grip to be to smooth for a firm grip, other than that it seems like a really nice pistol. if they put some texture on the pistol via stippling or some type of hogue grip i'd think seriously about buying one.

Re: Ruger Charger?
I have one. I like it a lot but it's a real picky eater regardless of which type of magazine I use. It just doesn't feed properly and occasionally fails to eject. The best ammo I've found for it so far is Eley Sport, it feeds better than anything else, (but not quite 100%), and it's really accurate. At 25 yards I can put 50 rounds into a hole that can easily be covered with a dime. (Burris 3-9 pistol scope). Blazer ammo runs about as well but isn't quite as accurate.
I sent it back once, it came back with one of the holes for the scope mount stripped out and the same feed and eject issues, I'll not be sending it back again.
It's a lot of fun to shoot, I don't regret buying it. One of these days I'll get it running like it should, it's a 10/22 and there are lots of replacement parts/upgrades to be had. In the mean time it's running good enough with the right ammo to be a lot of fun.

Re: Ruger Charger?
Thanks for the tip!!!
I've had jamming problems since day one. I sent it back once, they worked it over, re-finished it and sent it back. The jamming problem wasn't resolved.
Yes indeed, the finish was flaking off before I sent it back and the "new" finish is flaking off now.
I'll take it apart and see where the flakes are landing. I'll probably remove any inside finish that comes off easily, maybe all of it.
My daughter wants to start shooting, I was thinking about starting her out with that and a .22 rifle. We'll have to try it out next week. I'll let you know the results.
