Stockpiling Report
It's no secret that many of us are stocking up on items like magazines, guns, ammo, etc. Whether or not we're doing more harm than good in doing so is irrelevant and has been discussed in other threads.
This thread is for people that have placed orders since the election, consequently or otherwise and I want to keep an ongoing list of places you've ordered from, items ordered, date of order and date of arrival, if applicable. I ask "since the election" because that seems to be what caused such high demand. This is so we all know what to expect and what sort of wait times we're seeing with the increased demand. Also to see what places are fulfilling their orders in a timely fashion, notifying customers of delays and any pricing discrepancies.
I'll go first:
First order placed:
DTI @ 11/4
http://www.del-ton.com
Item: Complete Kit minus stripped lower and mags.
Status: Canceled. No communication, no expected ship date though my order status has said it's in the final stages and may have shipped already. I've contacted DTI seeking a projected shipping date as I am leaving town for 2 weeks. There has been no response to this inquiry.
ETA: Called. Phone was answered and I was given 12 week estimate for my kit.
Rating: Shopping elsewhere for more immediate gratification. May still consider future business as it's not fair to write one place off under current circumstances. I would, however, encourage them to hire a Temp to assist with fielding customer inquiries.
Second order placed:
CDNN @ 11/6
http://www.cdnninvestments.com/
Item: Mags
Status: Completed. Shipped 11/10. Delivered 11/13 (UPS)
Rating: A+ Very happy with my order. Quality, price and quick to ship even with increased demand.
Third order placed:
44Mag Distributing @ 11/6
http://www.44mag.com/
Item: Mags
Status: Completed. Shipped 11/10, Delivered 11/14 (USPS)
Rating: A+ Very happy with my order. Quality, price and quick to ship even with increased demand.
Fourth order placed:
Buds Gun Shop @ 11/8
http://www.budsgunshop.com
Item: Ammo, replacement stocks, other accessories
Status: Delivery @ 11/17 and 11/18 -- Still missing a mossberg stock.
Rating: Good. Standard Buds shipping. Pending delivery to ensure all is in order.
Fifth order placed:
Jacks Black Rifle Shop
No website but he said I could post his phone: 1.412.974.6839
Item: Complete Kit
Status: Completed. Item picked up today. Called last week to order an M4gery, revised order Saturday night. Jack gave me a quote and I told him to build it on Sunday, called me back and said she was ready. I wasn't so I picked up today.
Rating:A huge A+! Very happy! Great guy! He's def my go-to guy for parts and future builds. Very nice guy, worked with me on meeting up with him. If you're waiting weeks/months for someone else, give Jack a call and see what he can do for you.
THE GUN!!!
I won't elaborate on the quantity of items ordered but if anyone else has an order pending and wants to share their experiences, wait times, expectations, etc. Please feel free.Last edited by D-FENS; November 18th, 2008 at 07:48 PM.

Re: Stockpiling Report
So...........You've shown your true mole colors finally.
Why not title the thread, "Hey everyone buying stuff, let's make a nice concise list for the gun-grabbers to print off so they know right where to go when the time comes".
Tin hat replaced apon head.
That's a very good idea. I have not ordered anything.Koli's back from Ambler.

Re: Stockpiling Report
just ammo from natchez.
they haven't raised their prices, and they still have the best prices i could find for what i buy:
UMC 115gr 9mm FMJ = $9.39 per 50
federal XM193 NATO surprlus 5.56 55gr FMJBT = $7.99 per 20
got it three days after i ordered it as always.
i don't see an AWB coming (don't think it will pass the house). but, i did want to order some ammo before it went up in price due to everyone else panic buying. however, the natchez catalog says the prices are good through january anyway.

Re: Stockpiling Report
I placed my orders election night.
I bought items from AIM, 44magdotcom, cactus tactical.
I have received all my items already. AIM was the slowest (today) but i knew that because they emailed saying they were behind. i honestly have never had a bad situation with any of them before either.
I also agree with your trouble with delton. Several 6-9 months ago, i inquired about an upper i wanted built. I received an email notice with my “question number" and was told they would contact me soon. Well, at least a week went by i emailed / called. They told me they were behind and would get to me soon. I have not received an email / phone call from them to date. I bought my upper elsewhere. I know a lot of people here like delton---me, not so impressed.
Koli01
I understand the tinfoil--believe me. But, they would only need to pull my / anyone’s CC info and they'd know everything i have spent money on through the CC. Hell, they could force ammo / gun dealers into giving them a list of their customers too. I am long past worrying about that. I say to them---bring it on.

Re: Stockpiling Report
Check Del-Tons page on AR15.com or their website. They are totally overwhelmed by orders. Expect 4-8 weeks to process orders.

Re: Stockpiling Report
When I ordered, there was no warning of a delay, no warning of low stock. In fact, they didn't even post the warnings until 3 days after I placed my order. I called today and they said 12 weeks for a kit.
I'm shopping elsewhere. I couldn't care less how busy they are. If they can't relay that to the customer, fuck 'em! I shouldn't have to inquire a week after the order is placed, have it ignored and be forced to call and get a 3 month estimate.

Re: Stockpiling Report
I've been talking to D-Fens via PMs but I'll post my order here just for informational purposes.
I cannot access Del-Ton from work (blocked at the firewall). I was able to look them up and find their phone number. I planned on calling them to place an order. My children are 9 and 12 and I want to build them ARs. I figured I would order the lowers now.
I called October 27 and got busy signals all day. I e-mailed support to see if I had the correct phone number. I got an e-mail response on November 3rd saying they were overwhelmed and understaffed and that the phone is ringing constantly. They recommended ordering via the website.
I placed an order for 2 DTI stripped lowers on November 3rd and to date, I have heard nothing. I check the status on the website and it still says, "processing." I'm in no hurry so it does not matter to me. I can wait as long as it takes, as long as nothing gets banned beforehand."The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of 'liberalism,' they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened."
