    New or used?

The Remington 788 is out of production but was available in .223 and .22-250 (among others) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remington_788

There may also be conversions for DBMs on Remington 700s using AICS magazines.

    Savage offers 23 variants in .223 & .22-250 with detachable magazines. http://www.savagearms.com/firearms/finder/

    Browning and Tikka too.

Maybe Thompson Center but I can't get their website to open.

With all the .223 we have in store that would make a lot of sense and fun to shoot. I been looking for the same Rifle but I don't care if the mag is detachable. I've even started looking at the single shots is the bolt action design more accurate then the chamber loading single shot rifles?

I own both a Tikka T3 stainless and a TC Venture Predator both in 223 and you cant go wrong with both. They will both produce 1/2"-3/4" groups all day long with handloads or factory ammo.
