Below is the total text that I could find on this bill. There is nothing that strikes me as being blatantly anti in this, but it still does not pass the smell test. I firmly believe that this is one we need to keep our eyes on.

AN ACT
1 Amending Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) of the
2 Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, establishing sentencing
3 guidelines for unexcepted nonlicensed possession of a
4 firearm.
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. Title 42 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
8 Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
9 § 9712.2. Sentences for unexcepted nonlicensed possession of a
10 firearm.
11 A person who is convicted in a court of this Commonwealth for
12 a violation of 18 Pa.C.S. § 6106(a)(1) (relating to firearms not
13 to be carried without a license) shall be sentenced to a minimum
14 of two years of total confinement.

I just went through this one and bounced it off of Title 18 6106(a).
Unexcepted carrying of a concealed firearm is already a felony offense (class 3 IIRC).
This sets a 2 year minimum for a conviction under that offense. I don't see it as a threat since the exceptions are well defined.

Its completely anti...
We shouldn't need a license to begin with. .
