Glenfield 25 trigger

anyone have a suggestion for a better trigger/trigger mod for a Glenfield model 25 22LR?

My trigger is horrifyingly heavy, just wondering what I can do that won't cost more than the gun did.....thanks!

This is the same gun as the Marlin model 25. I have a Glenfield, and I removed the trigger spring and cut a few coils off it to get it lighter.
You can also replace the spring with a spring from a ballpoint pen or something similar cut to size.
When you are finished, make sure you test the unloaded rifle to make sure that it will not fire unless trigger is pulled, and that the safety works.

FWIW, my Glenfield 25 is well over 30 years old, still very accurate and great to shoot.
