Re: 43 days and no reply
I believe if they fail to get back to you within the alloted time you are automatically considered to have passed. This was added to prevent minorities and other "undesirables" from not getting an LTCF by just ignoring their requests.
(This is not legal consul and it may not be 100% true)
I would reccomend going to the sherrifs departments website. If you don't hear back in 2 days, respectfully asking why you haven't heard would be what I would do. People fall throught the cracks in the system all the time. With Freedom comes Responsibility, accept the Consequences.

Re: 43 days and no reply
Why is it that some counties process permits immediately and others (ie Cumberland) always take 2 weeks? Shouldn't all counties in the state handle the apps the same way? It's pretty darn inconvenient having to run to the county courthouse twice during business hours for a permit, especially if it could be done in one trip.

Thats funny I thought you were talking about some of the online gun dealers. They never respond either!
