Re: .223 Ammo
Black Hills 52g to 75g for 1/7. Every gun is different so try each in the range. Anything Black Hills is pretty good stuff and will bring out the most in your Sig.

Re: .223 Ammo
I use Blackhills 69 Gr. Sierra Matchking HP for long distance shooting out of my Wilson M4T. Amazing! M193 or M855 for regular SHTF stuff or range training. However I have a 1:9 twist for my barrel.

Re: .223 Ammo
With a 1:7 twist, I'd go with the heavier bullets to fully utilize the barrel. 75gr Hornady TAP for factory ammo. I'd even test out some of the 80gr bullets in the 556.

Re: .223 Ammo
Hi Bigworm,
I have had really good experiences with Lake City XM193 marketed by Federal. Shoots nice and ejects shell casings cleanly(chucks 'em pretty far too). There wasn't any real flash to speak of, and I didn't have one failure in 250+ rounds.
I also gave my 556 a few upgrades.
Flash Suppressor: Yankee Hill w/ teeth, $37 or so.
Buttstock: ACE AKFX sidefolder for AR w/ gas piston and "hog nose" adapter - OEM M4 style stock comes right off and "hog nose goes right in. takes minutes, even comes w/ tools for $164 w/ shipping included.
Sights: Eotech - $300 & change - Sportsmans Guide
Light: Streamlight TLR1 High output LED $ 129 - American Sport Shooting
Last but not least, I put a Knights Armament rail cover on the rail.
I did it in steps to save on the bux, and got a real nice result, next come the Magpul P-Mags @ 14.95 from Operation Parts online - check out the video on youtube.
Good luck and have fun, I will post some pix as soon as I get Windows Vista to recognize my camera.
