FFL dealer in NEPA who will communicate via email
Hello,
I'm looking for a dealer that I could talk with over email. I'd like to order a few rifles over the next year and a half and have them shipped there. I'm a US citizen who is living in Japan. I'd like to order a few things over the time I'm living in Japan but because I'm +14 hours from eastern time I really cant call during normal hours.
I live near Forest City, PA and I'd like to find a dealer in the area. Any help would be great. Thanks.
Also, I just thought of this. If I buy an AK on gunbroker and it's sent to the FFL for me to pick up, what would happen if I didnt pick it up for 6 months or a year and there was a ban in that time.
Really, the question is, If there is a ban in the time between buying a banned rifle and picking up the rifle, what happens? I would think that the ban would ban people from buying. Since the rifle would have already been purchased, I think it'd be fine. Just curious

I am pretty sure that it is not "yours" until the paperwork is run and you pass PICS. You then have a short time (a day or something) to actually pick it up or the PICS approval expires.
However, if a ban works the same as last time, then you can buy, but not assemble/configure, a pre-ban gun after the ban goes into effect. So you would be OK if you can find a dealer willing to hold them that long.

If the ban were different and didnt allow the purchase, could a banned rifle be transfered from one person to another. If I need to I can have my friend pick it/them up but then I'm not sure if I can transfer them to my name. Any ideas?

IANAL, but you and your friend might be risking straw purchase issues.
On the post-ban transfer question - I would assume that if they prevented purchase from an FFL, it might be worded to preclude all transfers. Also there are moves afoot to prohibit all private transfers. Sorry, no crystal ball.
