Funny encouter
I was OCing in a Wawa at the coffee stand, getting my hot chocolate, when the following occured:
Customer #1: You shouldn't carry that gun in here these places get robbed.
Me: That seems like more reason to carry a gun in here as my life could be put in danger.
Customer #2: What are places that get robbed off limits to guns now?
Customer #1: They should be if it is too dangerous.
Customer #2: If his house gets robbed should guns not be stored in there anymore?
(I start walking away here as my HC is full and wasn't really part of the conversation anymore)
Customer #1: If his guns keep getting stolen then they should not be in his house. Yes.
Customer #2: unintelligible (something about a safe and/or locked doors?)
Customer #1: unintelligible
Customer #2: unintelligible
They kept talking after I had paid and walked out.Let's not forget there are still species of tropical penguins living in the Galapagos.

Re: Funny encouter
How bizarre. I wonder if that person keeps fire extinguishers in his pool.

Re: Funny encouter
Wow, that is a great opportunity to school people on legal carry in Pa.
Kindly explain that OC is legal in Pa. and CC with a license issued by the state.
Tell them how there are many very competent people in the state that have these licenses.
And how people with them are careful with them at home and out and about.
Many people don't know the laws (even some PDs) and here is your opportunity to help people understand.
And at that moment you are an ambassador for the entire CC community, so handle those people gently and kindly so when they walk away from you, or you from them, they will have the feeling that good people carry and they will have a more comfortable feeling towards firearms and those that carry them.
Just some thoughts ...
God bless!!

If they had asked about the law I would have gladly provided them with a flyer but they did not. They just said I shouldn't carry there.

Customer #1 is spewing typical liberal nonsense. He's saying that the way to get rid of gun violence is take guns away from lawful owners because these guns get stolen and are then used in crimes.
This is a gross distortion of the truth and serves only to disarm law abiding citizens.
One good response would be "My weapon is legal and *it* is not the problem. Criminals buying illegal imports on the black market is the problem. . . and your Obama is doing nothing to stop that activity. In fact, he contributed to it by selling 2500 assault rifles to criminals in Mexico and then lying about it. I hope you won't be voting for him again!"Help us restore election integrity in PA. Ya know, these places get robbed. You should probably just make your coffee at home.
