Contrary to common belief, Tenifer is not the black finish. Tenifer is a substance that is impregnated into the metal itself to make it much harder and more resistant to corrosion. In as much as one can trust Wikipedia, here is the description.

The black is just a phosphate finish. I wonder what they use to clean them with. I've heard diesel fuel is common.

The Glock in this pic is just Dusty Look at the ground next to him there is a Glock just laying there so i would assume the Finish is fine its just Dusty.
