Heard someplace that Century's type III "widows peak" L1A1 receivers are actually made by Imbel.

According to the story, some of the receivers are marked with the Imbel name while others are not.

Question being . . . Is the story true?

Yes the story is true.

Century imported a lot of Imbel receivers without the desirable Gear Logo of Imbel. Many people see the Century stamp on the receiver and walk away from what is probably the best receiver made for FAL's.

Very desirable rifle, ifyou know what you are looking at and know all the ins and outs of the FAL world. Only thing wrong with it is it says CAI instead of the Imbel factory markings.

Any problem that this rifle may have will not be receiver related and should be an easy fix with readily available parts.
