First attempt at building an AR.
It was awesome, and incredibly easy. So glad I decided to build instead of pick one up off the shelf. And for all the stuff listed below, a few bucks shy of $950 after all shipping, taxes, and FFL transfer.
YHM upper receiver, lower receiver, and rifle length diamond FF tube.
Magpul MOE stock, trigger guard, and grip.
Magpul MBUS, ladder rail covers, and PMags x3.
Colt 16" lightweight bbl, C MP 5.56 NATO 1/7 & Colt bolt carrier/bolt.
RRA lower parts kit
Badger gen. 2 tac latch.
Blackhawk Sportster case.
I plan on throwing a co-witnessing red dot on top, and a light and VFG as time goes on. I have a military Gripod, but it is too long for me.

^^^what he said^^^^
Damn fine job on your first AR build. Now you'll have to post up every single one you do after this. And as a longtime witness to the disease, there is no cure. Only relief from finishing yet another build.

Re: First attempt at building an AR.
For a first build you definitely put some thought into it. Good job! That's a real clean looking weapon with good parts.
I'd like to see the same rifle with the offset being OD Green. The tan looks nice though!

Re: First attempt at building an AR.
Thanks for the comments. I was originally planning to do magpul OD green, but FDE parts seem to be more easily available. Next step is a different upper, something target grade. I have a ceiner .22 conversion as well. I've had the gun built to working condition for about 3 months, and have about 400 rounds of .223 and 2000ish rounds of .22lr. Ceiner kit with black dog mags is about the sweetest thing I've ever used. Out of the 2k rounds, maybe 3 double taps and 1 fte. .223 has zero malfunctions so far.
