I'm thinking a pink stock such as a Boyd's, several 10 round factory mags and a bi-pod would do it! Maybe a scope?

I love my Ruger 10/22.....I probably have well over 5,000 rounds through it now.

What he said... You'll soon be buying a second 10/22 for yourself.

A set of self resetting swinging targets. Paper gets boring, moving targets are pretty fun. You can pick up a recoil buffer that takes a tiny bit of snap out of the gun for cheap, and may help the overall life of the gun. May also want to look at an extended magazine release to make it easier to remove for smaller less strong hands.

I used to be gun-ho about these things, but mine has taken a back seat (until I drop it in a new stock).

You can make an auto bolt release from the stock bolt release for free, or buy one.

    I just got myself a 10/22, too.

Just finished my first mods on it over the weekend:

    Volquartsen Automatic Bolt Release
This allows you to release the bolt by just pulling back, instead of fiddling with the bolt catch.

    Volquartsen Extended Magazine Release
Larger magazine release, for more convenient magazine changes.

Installation seems a little intimidating at first, but I found a YouTube video that makes it pretty easy.
"There are four boxes to use in the defense of liberty: soap, ballot, jury, ammo. Use in that order."

Wasn't there a device that you used on the trigger mechanism of a paired set of rugers that fired them alternately really fast, almost like an auto?

May be beyond an 11 yo, but for future additions as she advances...
