Default Unpaid traffic ticket, NICS denial possible ?

Read Berncly post about GOA and generous offer, hats off to you sir. I then went to GOA and read article about unpaid traffic tickets, and if couple years later pulled over for traffic violation and license run, i.d., etc. and your record shows fugitive from justice because of a traffic ticket warrant and now next time go to purchase firearm your denied by NICS. Two questions, is this common and traffic ticket for moving violations only. I ask because i have unpaid parking ticket in NYC. Took kids and grankids to old Yankee stadium last year they played there. Thats another story and i believe i did no wrong and refused to pay it, they wrote me back with a 40% discount, told them no thanks and will not be back to New York, thanks anyway. Yeah, they CAN issue a warrant. I dont know if that screws you with NICS, but it might. It can and WILL screw your day the next time you get pulled over and they run your license.
I spent a weekend in the Richardson, Texas jsil because of a parking ticket i didnt even know about.

In the City of Erie, they will boot your vehicle.

Township I live in, you'll be summoned before a magistrate.

Is unpaid tickets a prohibiting offense, don't recall reading that.

I have an unpaid parking from Wildwood New Jersey. Circa 1976. I'm screwed.

Seriously if you owe, and you were guilty, pay it and be done.

I am not a lawyer, so this is just my understanding of the situation.
GOA is concerned that a Fix NICS bill will flood NICS with any and all outstanding warrants, including bench warrants for failure to appear for unpaid traffic fines and offenses.
Again as I understand it, GOA is concerned that this will open the door for all kinds of gun prohibition lists by Liberal states that will manipulate the wording of the bill to maximize gun restrictions of otherwise law abiding citizens.

I think it is a massive grey area, and GOA is concerned that Liberal states and Liberal Presidents have a habit of manipulating grey areas into unintended gun bans.
This is what the Obama administration did to Veterans who were never adjudicated as mentally defective, but through a technicality they were listed as prohibited from owning a gun and their names were placed in the NICS system.

As I understand it, this is what the GOA is worried about, they simply do not trust future administrations to manage gun prohibitions in an honest and fair manner, so they are concerned about an overreaching Fix NICS bill that creates opportunities for future gun ban abuses.
I'm not a lawyer but that's my understanding of the situation.

Ok good ending. Sold a car to a friend when I was stationed in Hawaii eons ago. I signed everything but he never signed his end. Car still in my name. Engine blew and he left it parked along a road. I received a letter from HPD stating I was charged with abandonment of a motor vehicle. Wrote back what had happened and told them if they want to extradite my I would not fight it. Have no idea what else transpired but did receive a letter stating the charge was withdrawn. Lost my free trip back to Hawaii. Good part is the charges were dropped.

Telling the man to fuck off and die is fun when you're 20 something, until it bites in you ass years later. Older adults should know better.

If you feel the parking ticket was unjustified you can either fight it, or pay it. Ignoring it won't end well. It will never just go away.

I can't imagine how an unpaid parking ticket is going to make you a prohibited person. I guess each state is going to be different, but I personally don't see that ever happening.
