Re: Franklin County area gunsmith recommendations
For something with that lack of complexity - - - Don Horowitz in Mercersburg, and he prob could do it while you wait. 328-9632
I don't know of anyone in this county who is a competent, complete gunsmith, with the ability to turn and refit/rethread barrels and time S&W's, rechamber rifles and soforth.

You'd think we'd have more options around here.

Re: Franklin County area gunsmith recommendations
I've been by there but didn't know he was a 'smith. I was by Horowitz on Friday but he had a sign out sayin' he was off sick...one of these days the old timer is gonna retire, too bad he hasn't been apprenticin' a replacement.
I've used him in the past, just not as satisfied with the quality of work, wondering about options.USMC 2/10 1982-85~REMEMBER FT. HOOD~

Fantastic Work. You have to call for an appointment. He lived in the development behind Schiers Furniture on Ragged Edge Road. I had Re-blue the cylinder on a revolver for me as well as do some work on my Mosin.
Great guy to stand around and shoot the shit with aswell. He has all kinds of cool shit.
It's run out of his house with a woodshop/gun shop in the basement.
Also, Pro2A (Brandon) from the fourm has had work done with him aswell. Pm him if you would like another reference
