When did Louisiana drop Florida Non resident ccw?
I just heard about this today. I guess before you travel or make a move from State to State you'd better look before you leap. Such stupid silly games that can make you go from law abiding citizen to criminal if you're not careful.
If anybody has a link to this please be kind enough to post it. Thank you.The answer to a fool is silence.

Re: When did Louisiana drop Florida Non resident ccw?
Louisiana has not recognized ANY Non Resident permits since 2004
They do honor our PA RESIDENT LTCF
from their website
http://www.lsp.org/lspfaqs.nsf/41289...0?OpenDocument
Q. Are permits from other states valid in Louisiana? If I have a Louisiana concealed handgun permit, can I carry my concealed handgun in other states?
A. Please refer to the “Reciprocity” section of our web page (http://www.lsp.org/handguns.html) for a list of states that honor Louisiana permits and whose permits are honored in Louisiana. Louisiana only honors permits issued to residents of that state.
[L.R.S. 40:1379.3 (T) (1)]

Reciprocity (Effective August 15, 2004)
Effective August 15, 2004, the concealed handgun laws were amended concerning reciprocity with other states. The statute provides as follows:
"...A current and valid concealed handgun permit issued by another state shall be deemed to be valid within this state if a current and valid concealed handgun permit issued by Louisiana is valid in those states."

If you go to the Florida reciprocity page, it has footnote #4 next to Louisiana:
"(4) These states will honor the Florida concealed weapon license ONLY IF the licensee is a resident of the State of Florida."

I think they made a change back to accepting Florida just a few days, maybe 1 week ago. This came up on the www.Illinoiscarry.com/forum
