York dealer question
Has anyone had any dealings with West York Sporting Goods on Market St. in York? The proprietor's name is Steve. I'm wondering if I made a mistake ordering a gun from Davidson's through him. Anyone dealt with Davidson's? How long does it usually take from paid in full until delivery? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Re: York dealer question
I can't answer your question, I did however spend some time in his shop and got a good vibe from him, seems to want to do the right stuff but is undercapitalized for the most part, and his location isn't the best. I'm anxious to hear what your experience will be.

Re: York dealer question
I deal with Davidsons frequently. If you order a handgun and it is in stock (at Davidsons) the dealer will receive it the next day (if ordered early in the day) or the day after that. I have even ordered a gun that was in stock at 3 pm eastern time and it was at the FedEx office the next morning at 7am eastern time. I have never had any problems with Davidsons and they warranty all the guns they sell for the life of the gun no matter what the manufacturers warranty is.

Re: York dealer question
Bought my xd45 from him. Not a bad guy, I think he has too many irons in the fire. Trying to run a gunshop and fix up/rent apartments. He seems to have a pretty steady flow of business. Bought my 2nd xd from a guy in mount joy though, wasn't thrilled with being in York unarmed at night to pick up my first pistol. Not the worst part of town I know, but when your used to being in the sticks. He does everthing by the book, prices seem average.

Re: York dealer question
After 9 days my P95 is at home where it belongs. Steve is a nice guy, but it seems like a solid week plus for an in stock gun is a bit long. Maybe he forgot to order it, or waited for my check to clear, who knows. Maybe I'll do business there again, but I think next time I'll try one of the other Davidson's dealers. Bottom line, me and my white box are looking forward to tomorrow!
