Remington 1100 barrel modification - Magnum
New to this forum. Last year I purchased a scoped Remington 1100 3" Magnum from a local estate. The weapon and the three barrels that came with it have all been parkerized or treated in a similar fashion. One of the 30" barrels has a very long turkey choke (.675) installed with non-standard (non-Remington) threading. I would like to cut down the barrel to 26" and thread it for standard Remington chokes for deer hunting. That way I can install a Buck Buster or similar choke for 00 buckshot. Can anyone refer me to a gunsmith who can handle that work? Thanks.
