Default What do you know about a ParaOrd P12-45

I'm moving into the .45 ACP world, and saw a decent deal, I guess, on a ParaOrd double stack 1911-style pistol.

    1) Good, bad, etc. opinions, please.

    2) Is it simply a "1911-style" because of the double stack mag? "Cause it's SAO, grip and ambi thumb safety, etc., which seems pretty 1911 to me.

    3) Accuracy, recoil, weight, etc.? I'm planning on this being my EDC.

I'm off to do my own research, but why not tap into the experts here also, eh?

    Thanks.

If you don't mind my asking, what are you considering a decent deal?

Also, I'm not sure about your model, but, I bought a pair of 16 round, Para mags for mine, to make it 16+1 of .45ACP. This makes for one heavy ass gun.
    better than carrying Pennsy, though......

Hell my XDm-9, is a bitch with 19+1 in 9.........

Well, since there's a deposit on it, I'm not worried that someone else will grab it. $399, plus tax and PICS at Tanner's, so their reputation counts for some peace of mind too. Comes with the one 11-round mag.

This one has a 3.5 inch barrel, and somewhere on the web I think it said 36 oz. loaded, which is about what my Ruger Speed Six comes in at, so maybe not too bad. Yeah, the grip is wide, but just about the same as my current EDC, which is a .380 with a slip-on rubber grip.

    I have a p13, a P16 and a p18. I like Paras.

I found both triggers to be terrible to me so the triggers are on a scale to me.. The Glock was a crisper suck and the XD was a more mushy suck. They are in the same family, SR9 (heavy suck), Glock (crisp heavy suck), XD( lighter mushy suck), M&P(heavy mushy suck).
