Romantic weekend ideas in Lancaster or Pocono?
Awhile back I asked for ideas for a long weekend with the kids and got great suggestions and we had an AWESOME time! Now I'm looking for ideas for a place to go and things to do with my wife for 2-3 days. We have a two and a half year old and a one and a half year old so we havent gotten to spend much time alone lately. My dad is keeping the kids for a few days for us so we can get away. My first thought was going to his beach house in OCNJ because its really quiet and nice there in the fall/winter, but while I'm not above a free vacation to PRNJ in the summer, I'd like to explore and spend money in PA!! Any suggestions on places to stay or things to do would be great. Thanks!

lots of bed and breakfasts. I would avoid the resorts if you are looking for a nice quiet time.
The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.
Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

There is a couples/romantic spa type place in the Harrisburg area - The Inn of the Dove. I've never been there, but I've heard it is supposed to be very nice.

of all the Caesars resorts, my parents always went to the one up by Hamlin, and stayed away from the ones on 209 and Paradise Stream just cuz it was alot more secluded. they always went there for their anniversary. not exactly cheap tho.
Guns don't kill people, it's mostly the bullets.

If you want quiet then I would suggest the Amish Country. All the big summer tourist crowds are gone. The leaves have all changed and there is some really beautiful landscapes out here. Plenty of bed and breakfasts with vacancies. For entertainment there are some great downtown attractions, like the Fulton Theater. As well as the Italian Villa Comedy club and the American Music Theater out on Rt 30. Also there is the Dutch Apple Dinner theater in Centerville.
There is also Sight and Sound in Strasburg.

Good luck !!
