Is it worth it to pack the Glock? Might be stopping in DC for a day so I'm thinking I'll just leave it at home.

If you really want to take it, (I am assuming you are just sightseeing), you could always park in Maryland or Virginia and take the Metro into town. I have been staying in the DC area for the last year and have never drove down there. We always drive to the beltway and take the metro. It's pretty cheap and easy, and saves us from DUI's, parking tickets, and expensive taxi rides. But then again that might not be something to leave locked in a car in an unnattended lot.

I wouldn't park the car in MD with the gun in it. I wouldn't even slow down to flick a booger out the window in MD.
I would get to VA and park where people still have rights.
