    Default OC Dinner Pittsburgh Area?

Hey I see the Erie folks doing an OC dinner. I know peeps usually go out after the shoots here monthly to Drews, but typically I have to run to work afterwards. Just tossing this out there, anyone know any other restaurant's in the Burgh area that are OC friendly?

I wouldn't OC but i'll surely go out to eat for you fellers--as long as theres beer... On another note I dont think i've seen anyone OC at drew menas after a shoot so they arent mini OC dinners by any means.

I like the part about non-OCers in the group picking up the tab!
    I'm in.

What, you didn't see that part? Too late!

Seriously though, I would consider doing this.
I'm not so much interested in a "shove it in your face" OC event, but I've certainly met a lot of really decent folk through this forum, and I would enjoy meeting more of you for a bite to eat.
I eat with a handgun on my side every other time I go out, why not let him get some fresh air?

I'll know it when I see it.

I'll just watch and see where this heads...
Seems there needs to be someone in charge of organizing this.
When that someone, starts giving details, I'll make my decision.

This might be fun. I might attend a dinner if one gets planned. I make no effort at all to conceal half the damn time anyways.

Invite some Pro-Gun Lawyers to the OC dinner, just incase someone might need them especially if the diner is held in some on the more anti-gun areas.

I might go depending on where and when it’s held at, but I won’t be Open Carrying, no point, only possible downside if some thing would go wrong. Like someone grabbing gun and using it (big time expensive legal nightmare), some idiot thinking its illegal and calling the police, with all the headaches associated with playing 20 questions.

Don’t get me wrong about OC, I have been open carrying since the mid 1980’s but pretty much out hunting or fishing, hiking or traveling in the middle of no where. I have my share of run ins with state police and conservation officers during those out of the way places and had no problem justify my actions legally or perception of OC being an illegal act on officers part. I know my rights and take them very seriously, sadly many don’t so I can hold my own with the police.

Open Carrying has lots of extra responsibly associated with it. Open Carrying is a lot like driving on the highways where its legal to drive at the posted speed limit but how responsible is it to drive at posted speeds limits in bad weather conditions like a rainy day or snow covered road way, sure its “legal” but is it responsible thing to do? Better yet even if you were traveling at the legal posted speed limit in bad weather you can be held accountable for your actions, civilly and criminally, same thing applies to OC IF something goes wrong.

Mark this statement well …One day some idiot is going to open carry irresponsibly, make the situation worse, do some thing stupid, worst yet have no money to fight the legality of OC and we are all going to get screwed by a bad case law there by ruining open carrying for everyone in PA…… just watch it happen sooner or later.

So while I agree with OC and do indeed engage in it frequently, most people (in my opinion only) are attempting to make a political statement without proper education, knowledge or being able to explain the law and articulate your points if confronted by law enforcement or in a court room. Worse yet they don’t have the money or resources, are not fully prepared to defend their rights and actions in a court of law IF required to do so…. One bad thing about having rights its also exercising the responsibility of defending them at a moments notice, at whatever the cost that has to be paid to keep them, including giving your life if necessary.

Any this post is all just my opinion like we all have our own, so have at it.
