I feel sick

I just learned that a guy that I used to work with is now in jail on over 450 charges of molesting and raping a minor, who is also his daughter, she is 14 and it has been going on for 7 years!
And to think, I shook this mans hand.
Makes me feel physically sick thinking about it.
Just needed to vent about it.

WOW, sorry to hear that! There is nothing worse than what this person has been accused of in my mind. I rank child molesters as the bottom of the food chain as far as humans go. For years I have said I thought the only punishment proper for this crime (for men that is) is castration and permanent imprisonment (or a bullet to the back of the head). The pain they cause destroys a young life and many of the hopes and dreams of that young life.

What makes me sick (and you justifiably sick) is the fact this person would do this to their own child, let alone any child..... I swear they need to start licensing parenthood because there are way too many lowlifes allowed to be parents!

Go easy on yourself though, there was probably no way you could have ever known .... the rest of that family now needs all the help and friends they can find.

If it make you feel any better, much the same thing happened to someone I knew.

There's a guy that used to work in my building who, after leaving the company, was arrested for abusing his very young daughter.

It's upsetting when you learn that someone you thought was a decent person turns out to be a despicable scumbag. I had taken this guy shooting once. I can't put my finger on the word I want to use for how I felt after learning the news. The first thought that went through my head was "Could he be innocent?"... that would be hell if you were falsely accused of such crimes. Sadly, it seems the police had enough evidence to confirm the accusations.

I know a guy that was molesting his daughter. It was a complete shock. This guy was over the top religious. His kids didn't play sports on Sundays because it was the "Lord's Day" he would say. He always told me he did not like to hear rock and roll from the PA speakers. He wanted Christian music instead. He was the most calm and controlled person I have ever seen in public. But I always told the guys there was a crazy look about him. He ended up getting arrested and convicted. He is now on the Megan's Law website.

It is disgusting!! I also knew a guy that worked for my cousin that was convicted of having child porn, soliciting sex from a minor and throughout the investigation they found at least 3 boys that he had been molesting. We used to ride dirt bikes and quads with this guy on his farm....I couldn't believe it when I saw him on WGAL in cuffs!

That's unreal. BA don't be too hard on yourself, he had a lot of people fooled if he has been doing it for 7 years. You're not the only one that thought he was an O.K. guy and come to find out he's a perv.

It is upsetting to hear about some one , who you thought was a normal everyday joe and turns out to be a Pedophile. That is very sick and it can take a while for it to lessen . Yes the disgust and upsetment lessens it does not go away.

A good friend , I went to school with (elmentary High school) made the headlines a few years back. I was stunned , never thought it could be possible , he was considered a great guy , by most.

But the sad truth is he was a a very sick (mentally and emotionally) person .

But that is no excuse m, he could have seeked counseling when he realized what was going on in his mind. he knew it was wrong, yet for years he did nothing to control this behaviour .

I am very disappointed and disgusted at the same time.
