    Default Mean 357 ammo....

Someone actually GAVE me two boxes of these. I shot one box to make sure they are reliable and now use them in my SP101 when I carry that. The 180 grain actually has very little kick. Look at that price for defensive 357! You dont see that anymore.

frankly, if you want bomb like 357 loads, try Doubletapp.

my favorite defensive load by them is a 125gr Speer Gold Dot.

    1600 FPS from a 4" barrel

    guaranteed hand rifle.

I agree. Or some Buffalo Bore ammo.

They load the to the levels they are supposed to be at. Not at the wussy levels people gotta have today.

I had 125gr JHP's zipping out my 4" revolvers at 1650-1700fps. Out of my dad's 6" Smith at about 1750-1800fps, and out of my 8" Python at about 1950fps(yeah, into 44mag energy territory).. All within spec'd pressures.

You boys need to start rollin' your own. I normally don't even want lightning bolts out of my 357mag, as I care too much for it to not want it damaged.

But when I started reloading this year, I made up some Hornady 110gr XTP/HP's over 21gr H110, but NOT using magnum primers, as should be used with H110 I later found out. The blast in the indoor range was spectacular, almost disorienting. I was told the blast was probably the powder slowly being ignited and consequently lit up the darkened lanes. I've since loaded them with correct primer, but only shot outdoors. These are listed at going over 2k fps in the manuals. I gotta get a chrono to check it, but they gotta be close.
