Default Australia is Cracking Down on Soda Bottle Silencers

Some new gun laws in Australia may make it illegal to carry a gun and a bottle of soda at the same time. Australia now wants to prohibit soda bottles because they can be used as “adapted suppressors” which is illegal according to gun regulations which were detailed by the South Australian police. Watch video below. So anything that can be adapted to become a silencer is prohibited. Of course Michael Bloomberg is probably very happy about this, especially if any soda bottles that can carry 20 oz or more are banished from Aussie land. - See more at: http://gunsnfreedom.com/australia-is....sVSLQFWf.dpuf

So what are soda drinkers supposed to do if they also happen to own a gun? The soda bottles “must be securely boxed, bagged, or wrapped and bound prior to arrival, and may only be removed from the covering by a police officer.
Wait until the Aussies find out about oil filters.

No worse than here where a 10/22 + shoestring = full auto.

I'm sure they already know the oil filter trick.

Australia is a country most Americans would not understand in it's geography unless they traveled around the country and saw it for themselves. It is one of the most urban countries in the world. In a country nearly the size of the continental US, most of the population lives in around 10 large urban centers, but once you get outside of the city, the rural areas are sparse and once you go 3-4 hours from a city, you are in bumfart nowhere and most of rural Australia is not well policed, not to the levels used to here in the USA. So there is a lot of stuff that goes on out there that the cops just don't have a handle on and that includes firearms. When they had the big semi auto gun confiscation in the late 1990's, there are still hundreds of thousands of semi autos and even some machine guns never turned in. There are places you can go to shoot and no one would be the wiser.

What goes on in the outback tends to stay out of sight of the authorities.

A correspondent on an unrelated forum some years ago commented in the Aussie way of dealing with the many deadly critters (most of which are protected species). When one of this potentially lethal critters turns up in the house or yard they tend to deal with it quickly. This lady called it the 3 S's: (Shoot, Shovel, Silence).

We do it here, too. John Stossel had a segment not too long ago on the Fox News talking about this very same phenomenon in the US. I think he called it "Shoot, Shovel, and Shut-up". Except here people tend to do it for economic reasons because of the Fed's tendency to restrict land developments and other economic activities around the habitats of endangered species.

Out in the western part of the US the locals (and ranchers) are having problems with the wolves that .gov reintroduced into the area.(they were shot out for a reason before) They are not getting anywhere with .gov so a lot of them practice 3 S's also. Can't blame them really. The wolves pack up go after livestock, pets and even people.

Mind posting a link or two about packs of wolves attacking people? I'd like to read them.

Rules are written in the stone,
Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.
