Taking of Pellam 123 gun oops
I watched the taking of Pellam 123 last night and noticed two gun oopses. At one point a cop gave a civilian a pistol (which would probably never happen) before he brought the money to the hijackers. He showed him the safety and said up is safety on and down is off. Showed a close up of the gun as he described this. While I dont know the exact make it had a Beretta 92 style slide safety and he described the on and off backward. The red dot clearly showed when he said safety on. Then when the civilian pulled the gun later in the movie it was a different pistol all together. It didnt have a safety. Did anyone else notice that? Im sure there are plenty other gun inconsistencies in movies but only a few of us notice.

you failed to notice an even bigger whoops: the NYPD has never used the Beretta as a departmentally approved sidearm, ever. they pretty much went from wheelguns to Glocks in the 1990's.

Re: Taking of Pellam 123 gun oops
I’m pretty sure that is only the beginning of the whoops. I did notice the “officer” did not know how the safety worked. Lets expand on this, I’m pretty sure he started with a Walther PPK S however that leads to another gun whoops because he tucked the PPK S into the bag but when Denzel retrieves it later it morphed into a Kahr…I think it was a PM9 or PM40.

That kind of stuff irks me pretty good in movies, and video games. What's worse is that they usually have some kind of "weapons expert" on hand who they either ignore, or who is also retarded.
Also worth mentioning:
Push Slides don't hold open when mag is empty, gun just clicks when trigger is pulled. This happens in several movies, but this is the only one that I'm sure of the name.
There was the "Ceramic" Glock in Die Hard 2 that metal detectors won't pick up.
Assault on Precinct 13 Slides don't when gun is fired in several scenes.
DVD case for Enemy at the Gates shows a backwards Mosin.
BLACK and Far Cry 2 video games have a few weapons that are backwards. Whether this is to add detail to the weapons without using one of us southpaw types as the shooter is a possibility, but a little goofy if the player is familiar with the real deal.
I mentioned to my brother that the FAL in Far Cry 2 was backwards, and he got all huffy about it.
Him: How do you know?
Me: Because I built one from a parts kit.
Him: Maybe you put it together backwards.
Me: It would take more skill than mistake to put it together that backwards.
Him: maybe the parts you have are backwards.
Me: Ha!! They just hit you with a mortar.
