Default New Storage for my Guns

Got a locking cabinet for my guns instead of thrown in a closet. It's not what I want, but for the room I have and the budget it will have to do. I mean it's not bad for the price. That and it would have been nightmare to get a 400 pound gun safe up to my second floor spare room. Now I just need more guns to fill it up
    Here are the specs.
    FEATURES:
Holds 14 rifles or shotguns up to 54" tall.
3 point locking system with key coded, double bitted lock for greater security.
Foam padded bottom reduces the chance of scratching.
Removable top shelf provides ample storage area for hand guns, cameras and other valuables.
Pre-drilled mounting holes allow for easy attachment to the floor or wall. Fastening and finishing hardware included.
Elegant gold accents on cabinet door.
Not recommended for storing CDs or other electronic storage devices.

    Dimensions:
    21"W x 16"D x 55"H
    (53cm x 41cm x 140cm)

    Shipping Weight:
76.4 lbs. (35 kg) not including shipping skid

I picked up one as well. Not what I want for long term but will get me buy until I Expand the mudroom & build the garages. It will not stop a thief but will keep kidds away from the goodies and when you upgrade it will make a great ammo /tool locker.

I just bought on similar to that one except it has a central divider with shelves running up one side and room for long guns on the other. I got it at Dicks for $179

I'm building into a wall in my basement. Might make it a little "safer"

how many long guns you have in it?
cause it doesn't look like it would get 14 rifles in it.
you get an A for the effort though.
not into the buy American thing.......but i'm really not into the whole china thing. so the fact that it is made here is pretty cool. and the price isn't to bad either....normally those two do not go hand in hand.

    *edit*
ok a few measurements later and it looks like 14 would be a tight fit but plausible.

i may look into that. is it online ordering only or might they be found in the stores?
it's only metal, we can out think it....

I had a similar one that I gave to another PAFOA member last year. it will keep an honest man honest. I hid mine in the back of a closet behind clothes. It was bolted to the floor and wall. They are pretty good for the $.

I found both triggers to be terrible to me so the triggers are on a scale to me.. The Glock was a crisper suck and the XD was a more mushy suck. They are in the same family, SR9 (heavy suck), Glock (crisp heavy suck), XD( lighter mushy suck), M&P(heavy mushy suck).

It was in the store. Now with hunting going on the mart stores have a good stock on gun stuff
And the buy american was pure accident. Didn't know till I got it home and out of the box had a made in the USA sticker on it. That and I bought a plastic tote thing from walmart today and it was made in the US. Just when I thought every thing was made in china
