Re: Do you trade up?
I have, twice. Regretted it both times. A buddy of mine one told me never to sell a gun. I should have listened and practiced more patience.

Re: Do you trade up?
I would really have to loathe a gun to sell it. Never sold one in 20 yrs don't plan on starting. They're all my children and I love them for their strengths and faults.
That just got kind of weird.FUCK BIDEN

Re: Do you trade up?
I have done this 3 times. One time ended up regretting it (sold a Ruger Security Six to get something that I ultimately sold), one time semi regretted it (sold a varmit gun in 222 Mag, then got stationed in North Dakota, with lots of prairie dogs), one time no regrets (traded a Ruger standard 22, 4", FS for a Ruger MKII Gov't Model, 6 7/8 bull bbl, adj sights).
I typically will NOT trade as you won't necessarily get as good a price as if you sell outright. Although with the Ruger 22 I got substantially more for it than I paid.
I have sold some guns that I have won in raffles and use the money for something else (that's how I got my Ruger Red Label - which I will NOT sell.... well, unless someone offers me enough to buy a Ruger Gold Label - )Ron USAF Ret E-8 FFL01/SOT3 NRA Benefactor Member

You sick little monkey!
I can't believe you could type such blasphemy and use that same finger to squeeze triggers!
I have my first carry gun sitting in the safe, doing nothing because it needs the extractor replaced. I had considered selling it, but, like you said, I just can't seem to do it.I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

Re: Do you trade up?
Hey normanvin,
I've once sold a gun back to the gun shop that I bought it from so that I could buy another gun from them. And one week later, I bought the gun back because I couldn't sleep and was very depressed, lol! But seriously, I really missed my gun and I had to find a way to get it back or I wouldn't be able to function right, lol!
After that awful experience, I've never sold/traded a firearm and I don't think I ever will.
Take care,
Rand
