Warsaw Twp Turkey Shoot
The Warsaw Township Sportsman Association is holding a turkey shoot tomorrow, and a few more in the following weeks.
Sunday at 1 to 2 PM will start the shoots depending on weather and number of shooters present. Entry per position, per line-up may vary from $1 to $2 depending on if we do a 12 man or 24 man event. $1 for a 24 man event, $2 for a 12 man.
Prizes will vary per line up, we usually have turkeys, hams, sides of bacon, and a huge flat steak as prizes that will alternate throughout the shoot. Also, we usually have a 50/50 round, and 50/50 drawing(s).
I'm not sure if there will be some grub, but usually there is either sloppy joes, ham & bean soup, or some other belly filler provided to participants.
No outside shells are allowed, your shell is provided in your shoot fee. We generally only have 12, 16, 20, and 410.
Those under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be asked to leave. This is a family oriented event, so if you attend - please keep the language clean.
To get to the location:
From Brookville/I-80 "Hazen exit": Take SR28 north for approx 8 miles. You will go through the village of Hazen and past the Warsaw Twp firehall. Approx 1.5 mile past the firehall will be Williams Rd on the left hand side across from a cemetery and Key's ATV's(will be junk cars on right side. Turn left onto Williams Rd and follow it back
From Brockway and Du Bois(via SR219): From the redlight in Brockway at the SR28 & SR219 intersection, travel south on SR28 for approximately 9-10 miles. You will pass by a restaurant called the "L&S" on the right, and then past Egypt Rd. About 1/2-3/4 mile past Egypt Rd will be Williams Rd on the right. It will be a short distance after breaking over a null and you will have junk cars and a cemetery on the left. Give anyone following behind a fair warning that you are turning due to the null that will be behind you. Follow Williams Rd back about 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile. Our club house will be the only building on the right side and is clearly marked on the side facing the road.

Re: Warsaw Twp Turkey Shoot
I forgot to mention that proceeds go to the Warsaw Sportsman's Association. We sponsor the former Reynoldsville Sportsmans Club's(club is defunct, but they maintain hatchery) fish hatchery which releases trout into public streams. We also help with acidic streams by doing lime dumps. And a few other public services.

We had a pretty good turn out today. We had (12) 24 man lineups, filling all positions.
I won a pack of (4) new york strips with my 12ga coachgun.
