    Default My first .357 mag

Just got a new S&W 627 Pro the other day! Haven't even fired it yet. This is my first 357. The 8 shot capacity is what sold me on it. I'm finding that I prefer shooting revolvers. Maybe it's the simplicity or maybe it was all the westerns I watched as a kid. Yeah it has the lock but that's ok, it doesn't bother me.

Nice wheel gun! I love my S&W revolver's trigger, it's so smooth and crisp.

Woah, is that 627 cut for moon clips??? I also dig the scalloped barrel. I just bought a 686 SSR about two weeks ago and the barrel is about the same.

If you are looking for a speed loader:

I also dig revolvers. My favorites are my 642 and my 386 Mountain Lite, both with the locks. Long live the wheel gun...

Yeah it is cut for moonclips. I haven't used them before so that's something new for me. I like that speedloader but it's a bit pricey. I'm going to give the moonclips a shot.

Congrats on your first .357 It is a truly blissful experience.

Nice find on that revolver, I would only buy another one if it had 8 shot capacity like yours! Enjoy!

That's one of the reason's I switched my carry to a Ruger SP101 .357 magnum. I love the kick of a .357 too . Wish mine had the additional 3 rounds though.

Nice gun good luck and have fun with it.

Being its cut for moon clips, if you dont use them how hard are the primers being struck? Also, do the cartridges rattle around with that little bit of extra room? Nice gun though, 357 is a great round. Ill b et you'll soon have more.
