I got most of my Grandfathers stuff as well. But no guns, my no account uncle pilfered those within a day of his passing..Told my Grandmother that she would be better off if the guns were not in the house because the gov't could come in and take them!Since Pop Pop died! But since no one wanted to upset her we all just left it at that! Its a shame too he did have a few nice guns. BUT, my grandmother developed Altzhiemers and had to be moved to a care facility and while cleaning out the attic we found his Berreta .25 still in the box from the Xmas he recieved it!
I took most of my GF fishing gear and built frames for the lures and I have his fishing gear and rod just the way he left it two days before he died!

Its a shame to lose such a fine gentlemen, one who taught me so much. But because I take what I learned from him and pass it to my boys I guess the loss was never really a loss, but more a lesson in life!

I just went through some of my grandpa's old stuff and found a few interesting things. Maybe I'll make an in-depth picture thread later. The 1864 Confederate dollar is one of the more interesting things.
