Shots were fired early Wednesday morning in a Scranton neighborhood after a man says his door was broken down.

Officers arrived at the home to find a front door broken in and a report of a homeowner who fired off shots at someone in the house.

Police are actually investigating two cases which they said may be related, but may not be.

"Just heard a little pop, pop, pop and next thing, that's all we heard, next thing you know there's cops everywhere," said Mark Meyers of Scranton.

Police said a door was broken in at a house on the 400 block of South Webster Avenue in south Scranton. They said shots were fired by the homeowner, whose name they will not release. He has not been charged.

Police said shots were also fired by another person outside the house.

Police tape was still up and an officer was still guarding the crime scene later in the morning.

They said they are interviewing six different people at this time, but have not made any arrests.

No one was injured in the shootings.

Police did take a man into custody last night about 10 minutes after the shootings. They say David Green, 25, of Scranton fit the description of a suspect they were looking for and started fighting with officers during questioning a few blocks away from the shooting.

Officers said he was charged with resisting arrest, carrying a firearm without a license and drug possession.
