    Default drunk driver?

i was thrown out of bed last nite by what i thought was a bomb going off. i grabbed my glasses, and my flash lite and out the door i go. here a truck hit a parked car a few houses up the street tore two tires off the passengers side and ended up nose first into a house 25 yards from the parked car.

i was second on the scene and see the guy opening the door and jumping out like nothing happened.

i ask the guy are you alright? yeah he says, do you have a smoke?

when the police show they start doing thier thing. asking questions looking at skid marks and such.

the driver seemed to dissappear so i ack the officer in charge if the sent him fro the drunk test. he tells me no because the guy is walking ok and not sluring words.

is this legit. later i hear from other nieghbors they would not test the guy because he might sue them.

Seems really fishy to me...Did they take him away in an ambulance or what...as for suing them for drunk test, I was under the impression that a stipulation for having a PA drivers license is that you must consent to a BAC test. Fear of being sued for such a thing sounds quite ludicrous. Perhaps this gentleman had some connections.

If there is a "next time" insist that the LEO or his boss get the alleged perp tested.

Have you ever been in a car wreck? Did you have to take a blood test because you were? If you don't show any signs of being drunk, maybe your not, maybe you are. But they have to have just cause to test you. Not just because you wrecked a car.

WHAT?!? Every car accident that happens, the driver was drinking. NOT!!!!
