DPMS 308 SASS - questions

Hello, I"m thinking about getting one and have some questions.
1. What is a fair price?
2. Has anyone had issues w/DPMS? I see they do not have a lifetime warrenty.
3. For the people that have the SASS do you like them?
I googled for reviews and did not find much info on this gun. I want to make sure its worth the $$.

Their accuracy is supposed to be pretty good on their .308 model.

They cut a lot of corners building their .223 models, though. I'm not sure how they do it with their .308...as there are a variety of different AR-type .308's out there.

I know Armalite, LaRue, and KAC all make them too... but I don't have any experience with them.

I think KAC is the only one who produces them for the .mil, and thus is the only one which could technically be called the "SASS".
