    Default Left handed help

New member here, lost my Marlin 336 in a flood and trying to decide on a new deer rifle purchase. Considering a left handed bolt action in .308 from a few manufacturers, most notably the Savage model 14 American Classic, Ruger M77 Hawkeye and Tikka T3 Hunter. Hunting in upstate PA primarily, hilly terrain with shots typically inside 250 yards, all advice appreciated.

Check out the Remington 700. I have one, and love it.

My vote (and rifle): a LH Remington 700.

you could also try a 760 game master being a left hand shooter myself levers and pumps work well for me and a left hand rifle is great to.crazywolf.

I have LH Remington's and Ruger's, seriously you can't go wrong with either. The Ruger is a little more frugal in price right now for lefties. I just can't bring myself to go the way of the Savage. Granted, I never have owned one but I haven't heard anything that's says Savage is superior than the other 2.

The Savage came highly recommended from several people Ive talked with. I called Kimber to discuss their LH options (none presently) and the rep I spoke with said one of the best bang for the buck bolt action rifles he's fired is the 14/114 American Classic, its reliable, better fit and finish than older Savage's and extremely accurate out of the box.

The Ruger is a lot of bang for the buck, the HM77LR in .308 was quoted at $599.00, the Savage at $670.00. I looked at both of them this past weekend along with a model 700 and an A-Bolt, considering all my options.
