    Default My first gun

My grandfather recently gave me this 1916 Military DWM Luger. All original except for the mag. It is as accurate as the day it was made, but we rarely shoot it anymore. I am actually looking for a place locally (Phila) to get it cleaned and conditioned, as I don't think its gotten a proper strip down in decades.

    Nice.

Where did your granddad get it? Was it a war souvenir?

My grandfather bought it from his brother in the 1950s for $10. Not sure about its history before then, I'd love to learn more about it though, but that will be tough.

$10.00. I had heard that in the 60's that you could pick up garands and 1911's for that kind of money.

Nothing like starting off with an heirloom. Beautiful piece.
